West Virginia Scheme — More Than the Power I Tight

West Virginia gets typecast as a one-trick Power I Tight book. It isn't — it's the most user-friendly RPO book in the game: almost every formation has a numbers-read RPO, and the whole scheme reduces to "count the bodies, make the easy read." You need a running QB, and you should manage his wear-and-tear (slide, get down).

The famous stuff first, briefly: Power I Tight (QB sweep, Lead Zone Weak, HB Toss) is covered in The Best Running Formations. The standard audible build there: toss, dive, flood, plus Zone Weak — then come out in the QB zone/sweep and just read the numbers; everyone is blocked.
